Fire-rated Shopfront Certification

According to building regulations (SANS 10400-T), fire protection escape routes in all publicly accessed buildings are compulsary. These areas require human protection for a minimum of two hours to allow for safe escape from burning buildings. Latest technology fire-rated glass combined with steel structures has now made the installation of 2-hour fire-rated shopfronts and doors a reality. In conjunction with Labotec and Schott (Germany), CGA has been certified during tests conducted in firelabs at CSIR for the design, manufacture and installation of 2-hour fire-rated shopfronts.
